This role is part time 16 hours per week.

Building on the success and learnings from 2017 the University aims to continue its programme of new, high quality work that celebrates the interdisciplinary nature and academic expertise within the University, while providing a platform for students and staff to showcase their talents and research.

Working across different schools, departments and faculties, Culture Campus brings together the creative capacity at the University of Hull with the aim to curate an engaging and impactful cultural programme. Connecting academics, students, research and our venues with artists, communities, practitioners and established arts organisations, Culture Campus enables the creation of new innovative work that has research and academic expertise at its heart. 

Culture Campus creates opportunities to welcome, speak to and learn from audiences from all walks of life. Our aim is to integrate the University’s cultural programme into the fabric of the city and to make the campus another cultural destination in the city, supporting it as a place of cultural exchange, creation and opportunity. As part of the legacy of City of Culture, we will continue to strengthen and develop the University’s contribution to culture on a local, national and international stage supporting the University’s objectives of excellence, being an anchor institution and a great place to work. 

The role entails supporting the Head of Culture Campus with administrative support, including raising purchase orders and invoices using the University’s own finance system. Updating content on the University’s events page www.culturenet.co.uk, liaising with faculties, departments and schools in collecting event information and ensuring all the details are correct and all necessary information has been submitted. Monitoring audience data from events and updating a centrally held database. 

Arranging travel and accommodation for visiting artists and. Maintain the culture@hull.ac.uk mailbox and respond to queries relating to the cultural programme. Liaise with Hull Truck to create online ticketing. 

Please note that due to the nature of this role some evening and weekend work might be required.
