The School of Education and Social Sciences is looking to appoint a Project Manager for the GRACE project on a fixed-term basis from 01/11/2017 – 31/10/2019.

GRACE (Gender and Cultures of Equality in Europe) aims to systematically investigate the cultural production of gender equalities within Europe. GRACE formally began on 1st September 2015 and runs for 48 months. We have recruited 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) (Research Assistants) to conduct research in specific thematic areas within the GRACE research framework and complete PhD training across Europe in conjunction with our academic and non-academic consortium partners the Universities of Hull; Bologna; Central European University; Granada; Lodz; Oviedo; Utrecht and Associazione Orlando. Forming key Impact Activities, GRACE Researchers are also working in teams tasked with the curation and launch of a virtual and material Museum of Equalities, a GRACE Feminist Smart Phone App and Filming GRACE. The GRACE Project Manager (PM) will work within the leadership team of European GRACE project building on work already completed by the current PM, and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the management and successful delivery of the GRACE programme to the project end date in 2019. The PM reports to and works closely with the PI, Dr Clisby, to provide strategic leadership of the programme and support to the GRACE European project partners and researchers in the development and delivery of research objectives, partnership research, training and networking activities and impact outcomes. The PM will ensure remaining project milestones and deliverables are met, clearly documented, and reported to the Commission to agreed deadlines. Applicants must hold a university level qualification at a minimum of undergraduate level in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Research Methods or cogent area, have demonstrable experience of Project Management or equivalent, have an academic interest in Gender Studies, and excellent writing and team working skills.
