The Department of Chemical Engineering is seeking a Lecturer in Chemical Engineer to join our vibrant, diverse academic team and student body.

The Chemical Engineering research groups engage in activities from fundamental molecular scale research, through process development to commercialisation especially in the areas of bio-based materials, sustainability and electrochemical engineering. In recent years the Department has been particularly successful in securing enterprise income to support the regions extensive chemical industry.

The post holder will be expected to conduct education scholarship, research or enterprise activities to an international standard. They will also contribute to teaching within the Chemical Engineering syllabus. Prior experience in the following topics is of particular interest:

Process plant design

Process plant simulation and modelling

Process safety and environment protection

Industrial experience and eligibility for membership of the IChemE or other Professional Engineering Institution with Chartered Engineer status would be an advantage.

The appointed candidate will be expected to provide a broad contribution to the department’s IChemE accredited BEng, MEng and MSc Advanced Chemical Engineering programmes, and develop a broad portfolio of professional practice activities that are aligned to the Department and Faculty themes.
