Marketing and Communications Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communications Administrator to join Hull York Medical School. Hull York Medical School is one of the UK’s most exciting and innovative providers of rigorous, contemporary medical education. A collaboration between the Universities of Hull and York and the NHS, the School works across University campuses, teaching hospitals and medical practices throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region – producing excellent doctors who are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to exceed in an ever-changing NHS landscape. In the national Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), over 85% of research across Hull York Medical School was assessed as world leading or internationally excellent. 

Working in partnership with the relevant support functions at the Universities of Hull and York, the Marketing and Communications Administrator will provide support to the School’s Marketing and Communications Team in the delivery of external and internal communications, alumni relations, student recruitment activity, annual events, social media and the promotion of research activities. 

You will have exceptional organisational and communication skills and be able to work proactively, independently and with initiative to develop and deliver marketing activities and events. You will have experience of developing communications for a wide variety of audiences and channels as well as formatting and editing publications and will have great attention to detail. You will be expected to liaise with a wide range of colleagues including staff based across the HYMS partnership, in our universities and the NHS. The role will be primarily office-based on campus in Hull or York, but may require occasional travel between University sites and work on evenings and weekends occasionally.
