This post is to provide secretarial and administrative support to a Marie Curie funded project: Research Assessment Outcome Measures for Malignant Bowel Obstruction (RAMBO). The post will be hosted by University of Hull’s Wolfson Palliative Care Research Centre.  

Tasks will include: the co-ordination of all logistical aspects of the study, including preparing study packs, organising and producing minutes for project meetings, data entry and maintaining confidential patient records, and providing administration support for the project researcher.

The role requires a high level of administrative experience, skills and knowledge that will help support the project. With excellent organisational and communication skills the post holder will be expected to contribute to the ongoing improvement through process reviews to ensure quality assured office practices and procedures are established and maintained.

As part of a professional research team the role requires knowledge and experience of the standard Microsoft Office packages, as well as enthusiasm and flexibility to contribute to a demanding workload and the need to be able to react to the changing requirements of this varied role.   Experience of working within an NHS and/or research environment would be highly advantageous.
