Senior Lecturer in Primary Care Research

The Academy of Primary Care at Hull York Medical School seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Primary Care Research to support the development, delivery and leadership of its programme of innovative scholarship driving excellence in primary care – regionally, nationally and internationally.

The Academy delivers an established programme of primary care research and scholarship tackling key challenges facing today’s health service, including multimorbidity, polypharmacy, improving primary care cancer care, addressing inequalities, workforce redesign, innovations in professional education practice.

The new Senior Lecturer will contribute both to the expansion and delivery of existing areas of work, as well as establishing their own area of scholarship in primary care theory, practice or policy.

You will work with research, education and clinical scholarship colleagues from within the Academy and the Institute of Clinical and Applied Health Research (ICAHR), together with regional NHS and public partners and wider national and international networks to deliver innovative scholarship driving excellence in primary care research.

This full-time role will be based at the Allam Medical Building, University of Hull, with opportunities for additional work with colleagues at the University of York.

We anticipate the post will be of interest to anyone with skills, experience and expertise in the critical development and use of academic theory and practice to describe, develop and deliver innovation in primary care practice and policy.

The post offers an exciting opportunity for a primary care/health services researcher to both develop their own leadership and academic experience as well as contribute to making a difference in primary care.
