The Academy of Primary Care at Hull York Medical School seeks to appoint a GP Associate Fellow for Hull and East Riding to support the local development and delivery of its programme of innovative scholarship driving excellence in primary care.

The Associate Fellow will work with Academy Leads in primary care education who are working to develop, deliver and quality assure a refreshed education and scholarship programme that supports the Hull York Medical School commitment to deliver confident and compassionate health professionals with the wisdom and skills to deliver exceptional patient-centred care.

This exciting new post (up to 0.3WTE) will focus on the delivery of high quality innovative primary care clinical placement teaching for our MBBS and Physician’s Associate clinical placements in the Hull and East Riding area.  

Specific work will be shaped to the successful applicant but could include placement development and delivery, curriculum development as well as liaison with the network of practices delivering clinical placements in primary care. 

Applications are invited from general medical practitioners with experience and understanding of NHS structures, procedures and priorities as well as all appropriate professional and regulatory standards.  Along with a passion for education, the successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills and a track record of involvement in in medical education, for example as a teaching fellow, clinical tutor or supervisor.
