Advanced Wound Research is a priority area for the Hull York Medical School, comprising a vibrant and active community of researchers and postgraduate students. Led by Prof. Mat Hardman, the wounds research group is based in state-of-the-art research facilities at the Daisy Building, Castle Hill Hospital. Close links with clinical colleagues and industry partners provide an environment to foster world-leading translational research.   

This post is an exciting opportunity to join groups of Prof. Mat Hardman and Dr Holly Wilkinson exploring the role of ageing and diabetes in pathological wound healing. The position is externally funded for a period of 18 months and is entirely research focused. You will undertake mechanistic and translational research studies using models already developed in the respective laboratories, and will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the wider project team. 

The ideal candidate will have relevant research experience, strong organisation and communication skills, and will demonstrate a commitment to the pursuit of excellence in research.
