BANK HR Investigators

The University of Hull is seeking to recruit individuals who can undertake high quality and expeditious HR investigations on an as and when required basis.

As a bank HR investigator you will undertake formal HR investigations which will involve planning and undertaking investigations in accordance with the terms of reference provided by the Commissioning Manager.

This will involve liaison with senior managers and the HR team to develop, agree and deliver against a strict timetable, which will result in reasonable and proportionate investigations being concluded as expeditiously as possible.  You will work autonomously in interviewing witnesses (including making the necessary administrative arrangements and taking statements) and gathering other available evidence.  Thereafter you will produce a comprehensive report and, where applicable, attend formal hearings to present your findings.

Whilst training will be provided on the investigation process and the University’s ‘house style’, you must have previous experience of undertaking high quality HR investigations.  You must also be an accomplished professional with appropriate specialist knowledge of a particular area of work, e.g., HR, finance, performance, academic expertise etc.

The ability to communicate complex and at times highly sensitive information, extracting information to produce high quality investigation reports is critical; as is the ability to sensitively and autonomously handle issues and potential conflict during the investigation process, dealing appropriately with employees and their representatives.

As a bank investigator you will be employed on a Temporary Staffing Services contract and your working hours will be determined per investigation, as and when commissioned.

For those people that meet the criteria, this post will suit someone who likes to work flexibly and autonomously.
