At the University of Hull, we’ve been challenging people to think differently for almost 100 years.  The University of Hull has adopted a new professional service delivery model where a single professional service culture for the University underpins close partnering and seamless service provision across professional staff in central and Faculty teams.

If you enjoy providing high quality customer focused support, working in a fast moving and dynamic team, this role is for you! As we look to strengthen the Student Administration Directorate, we are seeking to recruit a number of administrators to join the newly reconfigured Academic Administration team.

The team provides programme administration across all academic programmes of study at Under-Graduate (UG) and Post-Graduate (PG) levels. Activities include collation of submission and feedback deadlines into our virtual learning platform (canvas), handling student extension requests and managing additional considerations. The team are also responsible for arranging reasonable adjustments for examinations, in-class tests and arrangement of invigilators during the teaching period, alongside preparing the Exam Boards and associated documentation.

Academic Administration is responsible for delivering a high standard of customer service to staff and students. The post involves frequent liaison with students and staff across the University, and you will need to have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Previous experience of working in a busy office environment is essential and you must have good organisational skills, strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. You should also demonstrate an ability to follow guidance in handling sensitive and personal information. The ability to work proactively and solve problems is essential, as is being able to work independently and as part of a team.
